Little Monk Pictures is a female led, Manchester based Independent Production Company. We are passionate about championing authentic often unheard voices and working with diverse talent both on and off screen. We believe working class voices should tell working class stories.
CEO Nadia Jaynes has over 20 years experience working across all genres of film and television. From feature films to HETV, children’s television, comedy, documentary and structured reality. Her vast cross-genre experience has allowed her to build an enviable list of contacts with A-list on and off-screen talent on a national and global level. Prior to establishing Little Monk Pictures Nadia has facilitated national and global co-productions.
MEET THE MONKS
PRODUCTION MANAGER KELLY JOHNS
Production Manager Kelly met our CEO Nadia when she was hired as a runner on a high end drama in Manchester. Both hailing from Cumbria, (and with a shared passion for film, TV, music and wrestling), they very quickly built a fantastic friendship. Kelly is an incredibly versatile PM working across multiple TV and film genres and online content. When Kelly isn’t budgeting or booking crew, cast and kit for our many cross-genre projects she can usually be found in the wrestling ring.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT JOE BIRMINGHAM
Our brilliant production assistant, Joseph Birmingham is a Filmmaking graduate from The Northern Film School. Joe has worked on multiple productions in various capacities. He is a keen photographer and enjoys cycling and acting in his spare time. Joe can usually be found behind a camera or rustling up a call sheet.
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT JO CUTTING
Our development assistant Jo is a BA Hons Fine Art graduate from Leeds Arts University. Jo specialises in traditional art techniques and is an avid gig and documentary photographer. Jo has been part of several exhibitions over the last few years. Jo can usually be found with her head in a script or snapping behind the scenes photography on one of our many shoots.
OFFICE SAUSAGE CHABUDDY
Mini Dachshund Chabuddy graduated from doggy day care with a first class honours degree in making mischief. Chabuddy is an expert sausage-snaffler and the ultimate toy-destroyer, but he never fails to cheer us up with his ridiculous antics. Chabuddy can usually be found giving puppy dog eyes to whichever monk has the treat bag.
